Panasonic KV-S2046C/KV-S2026C Scanner RTIV Update 3.1.0.1 Windows 98/ME/2000/XP.
The Automatic Deskew function of the RTIV ver 3.X requires a black reference roller. If you update the RTIV from ver 2.X to ver 3.X and use it with KV-S6040W/KV-S6045W/KV-S2055L/KV-S2055W, it will not work properly. It is because they have a white reference roller. Please exchange a white roller for black one since it will be provided as an option.If you are a user of KV-SS25 or KV-SS55 or KV-SS855, we are afraid that you cannot use the Automatic Deskew with the RTIV ver 3.X.
You can install this updated RTIV just in case you use the scanner in which an older version of RTIV is bundled. It is required to have installed an older version of RTIV in your PC before you install it.
Connection type:STI. STI is an interface to scan a static image and available on Windows OS after Windows 98. You don't need ASPI when you use STI. There is no difference on performance between STI and ASPI. But when you scan with USB interface, STI is a must. Only KV-S2026C, KV-S2046C and KV-S7065C among Panasonic scanners are available for STI. Others require the ASPI.
